Codfarm AS is a company that wants to develop and operate sustainable fish farming, especially cod farming. We also work with related activities and can invest in similar companies.

In the early 2000s, cod farming experienced major growth, and in 2010 the industry produced around 20,000 tonnes of cod. In the wake of the financial crisis, combined with the increase in cod quotas, we experienced a fall in production. The last significant slaughter of cod took place in 2014. Now cod farming is back on track, thanks to improvements in both biology and economics. Two breeding centres, Nofima and Havlandet, have developed new generations of fry.
