Aquaculture Innovation initiates interaction phase for Vevelstad Settefisk AS
Aquaculture Innovation is now entering the collaboration phase with Vevelstad Settefisk AS, with the aim of developing a modern and future-oriented hatchery in Helgeland. Planning will continue until the summer in collaboration with Artec Aqua VAQ and GL Bygg, in parallel with efforts to raise capital to start construction in the autumn.
A key part of the project's framework conditions is that Helgeland Miljøfisk is Vevelstad Settefisk's main customer. The long case processing times for Helgeland Miljøfisk - despite the fact that the Vevelstad project received its approval nine months ago - have created uncertainty about the market and future sales.
Nevertheless, we now see clear opportunities. We therefore choose to proceed with the interaction phase to ensure a robust project basis, and to position Vevelstad Settefisk in the best possible way when the regulatory conditions fall into place.
We look forward to a constructive collaboration with local and regional players - and to contributing new, sustainable hatchery capacity in Helgeland.
